I’m a big fan of science fiction movies, especially the kind where crazy ideas seem totally possible, like Fifth Element’s speaking apartment or the upcoming Iron Sky with its high-tech community built on the face of the moon. I love a good show of imaginative technological advancement. Today though, with the world’s advancements and engineering prowess, these things become more possible with every waking hour.

Over 50 years ago no one believed you’d be able to put an uncooked chicken into a metal box and it would come out roasted. Scientists and engineers are pushing forward, pushing the boundaries, pushing what we conceive to be reality and now they’ve created something even more unbelievable: a building that thinks.
